The Challenge
Awareness of occupational therapy as a profession and what we do and who we can help. I saw a quote on twitter which sums the challenge up perfectly - “OT is the best career that no one has ever heard of”. Challenge accepted.
The Change
Ran a session at my old secondary school to prospective students looking to pursue a career in healthcare. Introducing them to OT, where we can work, who we can work with and how we can help. To raise awareness, initiate discussions & spark interest.
The Impact
Potential new interest in OT as a profession. Teachers and staff at the school are more aware and understanding of what OT is - which will help guide future students who are also interested in a career in healthcare.
