This is your opportunity to have your say and make your voice heard in the first UK wide workforce survey of occupational therapists.
We’re running a survey to help us build a picture of the experiences and issues affecting the occupational therapy workforce.
Our survey is open until 11pm on Sunday 27 November 2022. It takes around 10–15 minutes to complete and all responses will be anonymous.
We understand there are multiple challenges affecting occupational therapists and occupational therapy services. We want to know how occupational therapy practitioners are currently operating, how they feel about their work, and any difficulties they are facing.
We want to hear from occupational therapy practitioners across the UK, from all backgrounds and areas of practice, including:

occupational therapists in clinical and non-clinical roles
-
occupational therapy assistants and support workers
-
occupational therapy apprentices.
The survey will explore the workplace experiences of the current occupational therapy employed workforce and therefore pre-registration students aren’t part of the sample population on this occasion.

”As we work together to further define our membership offer, I would like to encourage you to use the survey to tell us what matters to you, so we can understand the pressures you are facing as you continue to deliver for your clients and patients. The past few years have been challenging for all of us and recovery from this will take time. I know priorities have changed during the pandemic (mine certainly have) and so I wanted to reach out to the membership to try and understand what matters to you.
We will be trying to understand the issues you face around recruitment and retention as well as any challenges you face whilst undertaking your roles. Two-way communication is important and we would love to hear from you regardless of the setting that you work in, be it traditional settings or non-traditional ones. Please also encourage your colleagues to take part in this survey.”
We’re grateful to all occupational therapy practitioners for their support in developing and responding to the survey. Your involvement will enable us to better support our members and represent your views more effectively.
