This event is open to all RCOT members - please share this with colleagues who may be interested.
Is your clinical practice embracing the fact that OTs working in the NHS are authorised to complete Fit Notes?
Do you as clinicians need to learn tips or gain greater confidence from OTs who write Fit Notes everyday?
Can you protect one lunchtime to join the event live or would you like to watch the recording in your own time as an RCOT member benefit?
The first session in this two-part series will be a practical training session for OTs, led by OTs and will include a live presentation and opportunities for questions and answers. This session is focused on the needs of OTs in Vocational Rehabilitation and Occupational Health roles who could and should be taking on the task of writing Fit Notes.
The second session, scheduled for 22 May, is designed to provide information to managers of occupational therapy services and equip clinical OTs with information that managers need to enable Fit Notes to be incorporated into clinical practice with confidence. Booking for this session will open at a later date.

RCOT Fit Note Training - Learning Outcomes and Opportunities:
Our Fit Note Training has been designed to achieve learning outcomes in each of the four pillars of continuing professional development:
1. Professional Practice: All delegates to be provided with examples of best practice concerning Fit Notes by senior occupational therapists who have specialised in delivering vocational rehabilitation services for adults who have a diverse spectrum of clinical diagnoses and functional difficulties.
2. Facilitation of Learning: All delegates will have the opportunity to network with and have meaningful conversations with occupational therapists who work in vocational rehabilitation and occupational health settings.
3. Leadership: All delegates will be able to access information to benefit OTs in leadership.
4. Evidence, Research and Development: All OT delegates and their managers will be reminded of the OT eligibility to complete Fit Notes as per UK Government Guidance
