Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers. We are entering an exciting new era in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.
We have an exciting opportunity that has opened in Newham Hospital for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist looking to progress or a Band 6 Occupational Therapist wanting to have an opportunity to work across inpatient and community services! You’ll be participating in the rotational Occupational Therapy scheme working in a range of ward settings and departments including Accident and Emergency, Acute Assessment Unit, Cardiac, Respiratory, Amputee/Surgical, Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU), and Health Care of the Elderly.
We are a part of the Newham Collective Group, which link with our partner services in the community such as Adult Social Care, Hand therapy, Acute and Community Mental Health teams, Extended Primary Care Team (EPCT) and Enabled Living. These areas are available as rotational opportunities should you be interested.
You’ll provide high quality occupational therapy interventions to a wide variety of patients including the advanced assessment and treatment of patients, provision of individual and group education and treatment, provision of assistive devices (orthotics) and equipment, minor structural home adaptations and provision of complex disability management and advocacy services.
