Online survey of placement profiles
We worked with the University of Salford to undertake an online survey looking at the placement profiles of pre-registration learners. Our survey of RCOT accredited pre-registration occupational therapy programmes, will identify the range and nature of practice-based learning opportunities learners undertake during their pre-registration studies.
The new insight helped us to support key stakeholders (learners, university programme teams, employers, practice educators and RCOT colleagues) in their resource development and workforce planning. The research continued throughout the final quarter of 2022 and included learner experience, needs of newly registered occupational therapists and first post-destination opportunities.
