Our Workforce Strategy – that touches every element of OT – sets out how occupational therapy needs to change to have maximum impact.
By 2035, we need to have an occupational therapy workforce that is:
- equipped to focus on prevention and early intervention
- based primarily within communities
- confident and skilled in championing inclusion and occupational justice
- empowering people to pursue the occupations that they value.
To harness the opportunities, we need to:
- be bold and confident in our expertise
- take our seat at the local and national planning table
- drive innovation and learning with funding
- influence and develop international practice
- base ourselves primarily within communities.
We're only going to get there by working together, sharing your innovation stories and looking forward.
