The Challenge
Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic and associated restrictions (to minimise the risk of spread) clinicians are restricted in their ability to visit individuals within community settings (including Care homes and specialist placements).
The Change
Embedding use of enhanced technology and alternative working practices has enabled provision of support via the telephone, completion of ‘virtual’ observations and assessments from the garden! To reduce the risk of occupational deprivation.
The Impact
Health and social care colleagues have reported that the timely, person centred clinical discussions and advice has enabled them to manage the presenting needs of people safely and effectively.
